The WIOC is the only training centre in the UK which is fully integrated within the University sector. The outpatient clinic was purpose built 13 years ago to allow the 4th year student clinicians on the Master of Chiropractic award to undertake their clinical training. They provide care under the supervision of fully qualified chiropractors who are registered by the General Chiropractic Council, ensuring that the training they receive, and the treatment they provide, meets the high standards demanded by government legislation.
The WIOC Outpatient Clinic offers a wide range of healthcare services to the community including chiropractic care, rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging. The clinic is located close to the University of Glamorgan campus, opposite the Treforest Railway Station.
The clinic has 20 treatment rooms, a digital x-ray suite, a rehabilitation suite, a specialist skills laboratory and a seminar room. It also facilitates a mobile MRI Scanner from Cobalt MRI in Cheltenham once a week, and has direct access through referral to a musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound service.
