The Family Institute
The Family Institute established in 1969 as a centre of research for the practice and research into therapeutic work with families. The Family Institute joined the University of Glamorgan in 2001. It is recognised as a centre of excellence for the training of psychotherapists and counsellors and is now an integral part of the Faculty of Health, Sport and Science within the Division of Professional Education.

The Family Institute is:

The Institutes’ courses and workshops have always attracted people from a range of professions which contributes to an ongoing exciting learning culture enveloped in a community of practice ethos.
The staff of the Family Institute are all UKCP registered Systemic Psychotherapists and provide an independent psychotherapy and consultation services to individuals, couples and families.
